Discover the redemption codes that will allow you to easily obtain the exclusive Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Purple.
As is the case with every new generation of Pokémon games, the Scarlet and Purple versions each have a selection of exclusive monsters. This implies that to completely fill the Pokédex, Pokémon Scarlet players will need to trade Pokémon with Pokémon Purple players, and vice versa.
If your friends and family don’t have the version of the game that complements yours, it can be difficult to collect all the Pokémon in the Pokédex. However, the gaming community quickly created redemption codes to make it easier to obtain the exclusive Pokémon.
These codes allow you to organize exchanges with trainers around the world without the slightest difficulty. By choosing the code that matches your needs, you will ensure that you meet a trainer who has the Pokémon you want.

How to Redeem Redeem Codes in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
If you want to trade with other trainers using a trade code in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, you need to go to the Poké Portal.
Here’s how to trade with other trainers using a redemption code:
- Make sure your game is online by opening the menu with X then pressing L.
- Once you are connected to the Internet, go to the Poké Portal menu.
- Select “Exchange” .
- Enter your redemption code and select “Start Search” .
- Choose the Pokémon you want to trade.
- Make sure the other trainer has chosen the Pokémon you want before confirming.
Since Pokémon Scarlet and Purple were released several months ago now, you may not immediately find a trainer to make the trade you want. In this case, just try again later.
In addition, keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will come across a trainer with a similar version to yours. You could therefore come across a trainer looking for the same Pokémon as you, and offering the same Pokémon as you. If this is the case, just leave the exchange and start again until you find the right person.
