Pokemon TCG Journey Together Set: Release Date, Owner’s Cards & Details

Excitement is building around one of the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s major releases in 2025, known as Journey Together. This upcoming set will introduce cards featuring Trainers alongside their beloved Pokémon, blending iconic characters with battle dynamics.

Although Pokémon TCG primarily focuses on Pokémon battles, numerous cards highlight familiar Trainer characters from the franchise. These Trainer cards often function as Supporters, providing beneficial effects that can significantly influence the course of a battle.

Journey Together will incorporate elements from the popular Japanese Battle Partners set and introduce a unique card type: “Owner Pokémon.” This innovative feature will combine beloved Trainers with their respective Pokémon, adding a fresh twist to gameplay. Release Date

PokeBeach has confirmed that the Journey Together set will officially launch on March 28, 2025. Fans can look forward to prerelease events scheduled between March 15 and March 23. This eagerly awaited set follows the Prismatic Evolutions, which will debut earlier in January.

Owner Pokémon and Set Themes

At the core of Journey Together are the Owner Pokémon cards. Each card will include the Trainer’s name and image, creating personalized connections. For example, instead of simply featuring Grimmsnarl ex, players will see Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex, adding a distinct flair to each card.

It is important to note that Owner Pokémon cards must evolve from their designated species, meaning Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex can only evolve from a Marnie’s Morgrem card—not just any Morgrem.

Highlighted Cards from Journey Together

Lillie’s Clefairy ex shines as a formidable counter to Dragon-types due to its Fairy Zone Ability, which heightens the vulnerability to Psychic-type moves. Furthermore, its Full Moon Rondo attack not only deals 20 damage but also adds 20 for each Benched Pokémon, allowing a potential maximum output of 100 additional damage!

Designed for decks that revolve around Marnie, this card features the Punk Up Ability. This powerful trait enables players to distribute five Dark Energy cards among Basic Marnie Pokémon, creating an exceptional synergy for team strategies.

N’s Zoroark ex introduces a game-changing advantage through its Trade ability, allowing players to discard one card to draw two. Additionally, its Night Joker power enables users to replicate the attack of a Benched N Pokémon, setting the stage for powerful combos with other Legendary Pokémon in the set.

N’s Reshiram

N’s Reshiram brings a potent threat to competitive play, featuring the Powerful Rage attack that deals 20 damage multiplied by the number of damage counters on it, potentially inflicting up to 240 damage for just two Energy. While the Virtuous Flame attack requires a Fire/Thunder Energy combination and deals 170 damage, it brings a high-stakes element without the additional risk commonly associated with ex cards, making this Legendary Pokémon a versatile option.

Teasers hint at others making appearances in the set as well, including Ethan’s Pichu, Arven’s Mabosstiff, and Misty’s Psyduck, though their card details remain unconfirmed.

Journey Together Product Overview

As of now, no official English products have been announced for the Journey Together set. However, this is expected to change imminently, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.
