Pokimane Issues Warning to Twitch Viewers Over Leaked Steam ID and Possible Consequences

During a Twitch stream, Pokimane mistakenly revealed her Steam friend code and promptly cautioned her viewers about the consequences of attempting to add her on the platform.

While live streaming Lockdown Protocol on Twitch and chatting with friends on Discord, the Twitch star’s group member brought up the fact that they had not added her on Steam.

Due to her usual routine, Pokimane accessed Steam in order to retrieve her friend code and share it with her friends, unknowingly making it public. As a result, anyone watching her stream could use the code to send her a friend request on the platform.

In a swift manner, she warned her viewers not to do so, playfully threatening to “leave poop at your doorstep” if anyone attempted to add her as a friend.

“She warned, “I have shared my Steam code. However, I want to make it clear that if anyone uses it to add me, I will block them, track down their address, and leave a unpleasant surprise at their doorstep. So, please refrain from doing so. Thank you.”

On the stream, it was evident that Pokimane had 147 pending friend invites, although it is uncertain how many of them were from viewers attempting to add the Twitch celebrity.

One viewer did manage to send her at least one, but she playfully reprimanded them by putting them in “time out.”She jokingly scolded, “You’re the only one who had it. Shame on you. Take a 10-minute timeout in the corner of your bedroom, you’re grounded.”

Despite fans continuing to laugh at her joke and threaten to leave poop on their doorsteps, she went on to play the game without any problems.

Recently, porch poop has been gaining attention online again due to Pokimane’s threat, but this is not the first time. Back on September 4, 2024, there was news of a “serial pooper”who had been repeatedly targeting one particular house, and the police were on the lookout for this culprit.

This is not the initial occurrence of Pokimane’s personal information being exposed. In 2021, there was a Twitch data breach that exposed the earnings of the platform’s most popular streamers. This prompted Poki to refute allegations that she earned millions of dollars every month.
