Twitch sensation Pokimane recently disclosed that a brand severed ties with her, demanding the removal of all content featuring them following a minor “controversy.”
Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, a leading figure on Twitch, has garnered millions of followers across various social media platforms, attracting numerous brands eager for her promotional support.
Despite this, Pokimane shared that one specific brand lost interest in collaborating with her after she faced a slight controversy during a game of ‘Spill Your Guts’ alongside fellow streamer LilyPichu.
According to Pokimane, the brand was exceedingly particular about the content she submitted, finding trivial justifications to decline her material.
Pokimane shared insights on a brand she claims she will “never” partner with again.
“When I worked with them, every single thing I would send in, they would have the smallest, nit-pickiest thing and reason to reject the material. They’d be like, ‘Mmm, there’s a slight glare there. You’re wearing white, and there’s white on the packaging, so we can’t accept that.’”
“I had to redo the same thing like, five times for reasons that are so irrelevant.”
To add to this, she reported that the brand terminated their relationship with her immediately after the controversy arose, advising other streamers to steer clear of the company.
“The literal second that I had any sort of controversy, they dropped me. They were like, ‘Delete everything.’ I can’t be surprised. It’s their prerogative. It’s kooky-beans.”

While Pokimane did not disclose the brand’s name, she mentioned that they were part of a “larger conglomerate,” complicating her efforts to completely avoid collaboration with them.
Although the exact controversy she was alluding to remains ambiguous, the streamer faced backlash in November 2023 following the launch of her cookie brand, Myna Snacks.
After customers expressed dissatisfaction regarding pricing, Poki responded to a viewer in her Twitch chat, stating: “If you’re a broke boy, just say so.”
She subsequently apologized for her comments, clarifying that the pricing reflected the high quality of ingredients and the effort required to create a healthier alternative to traditional cookie brands.
