As the current season of Pokémon Go approaches its conclusion, Niantic is preparing to celebrate with the highly anticipated Max Out Finale event. This exciting event promises a multitude of debuts, the introduction of Shiny Legendary Pokémon, and a host of bonuses.
Initially launched on September 3, 2024, the Max Out season brought significant changes to the game, including the introduction of the Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics, alongside numerous events packed with fresh content. As we prepare to bid farewell to this season, excitement is building for a new cycle filled with even greater surprises. Below are the highlights of the Max Out Finale event.
Event Dates and Times
The Pokémon Go Max Out Finale will occur from Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM until Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 8:00 PM local time. The subsequent season will commence immediately after the event concludes, although specific details about the new season remain undisclosed.
Debuts of Galarian Corsola and Cursola
During the Max Out Finale, trainers will encounter the Galarian form of Corsola and its evolution, Cursola. Notably, both Pokémon will have Shiny variants available, a rare occurrence as Shiny forms typically aren’t launched simultaneously.
Players can hatch Ghost-type Galarian Corsola from 7 km Eggs and evolve it into Cursola using 50 Candy. These Pokémon will not be available in Raids or the wild; therefore, players will need to rely on hatching to obtain them.
Wild Encounters During the Event
The Max Out Finale will primarily spotlight Pokémon from the Galar region. The following Pokémon will appear in the wild:
- Grookey
- Scorbunny
- Sobble
- Skwovet*
- Wooloo*
- Falinks*
- Her hat
Note: Pokémon marked with an ‘*’ have the potential to appear as Shiny.
Raid Battles
Trainers can engage in Raid battles featuring the following Pokémon. Additionally, Shiny Regieleki and Shiny Regidrago will make their debut during this event.

3-Star Raids
- Galarian Weezing*
- Falinks*
5-Star Raids
- Zacian*
- Zamazenta*

Once again, Pokémon denoted with an ‘*’ can appear as Shiny.
Eggs Hatching During the Event
During the Max Out Finale, players can expect the following Pokémon to hatch from 7 km Eggs:
- Galarian Meowth*
- Galarian Ponyta*
- Slowpoke Gallery*
- Galarian Farfetch’d*
- Galarian Corsola*
- Galarian Zigzagoon*
- Galarian Darumaka*
- Galarian Yamask*
- Galarian Stunfisk*
Again, those marked with an ‘*’ can be obtained as Shiny Pokémon.
Special Event Bonuses
Throughout the event, participants will enjoy several bonuses, including:
- An additional 5,000 XP for successful Raids.
- Half Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event.
- Increased Remote Raid Pass limit to 10 from November 27 to December 1, 2024.
Field Research Task Rewards
Event-specific Field Research tasks will be available, offering rewards such as:
- Stardust
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
Paid Timed Research Opportunity
For $5.00 USD (or the local equivalent), players can access event-exclusive Timed Research. Rewards include:

This Timed Research can be gifted to friends, but please note that it requires a minimum friend level of Great, and purchased tickets are non-refundable.

In addition to the Paid Timed Research, players can opt for an exclusive ticket priced at US$ 10.00 (or the local equivalent), which unlocks bonuses including:
- Five additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs each day of the event.
- 5,000 extra XP for successful Raids.
- Three additional Candy for catching Pokémon in 5-Star Raid battles.
- One additional Candy XL for catching Pokémon in 5-Star Raid battles.

Players can participate in Collection Challenges to earn rewards such as XP, Silver Pinap Berries, and Rare Candy. Furthermore, event-themed Pokémon will be showcased at various PokeStops, offering players a chance to participate in competitions.
