Developments in Song Ha-yoon’s Bullying Controversy: Accuser Placed on Wanted List

The backlash against actress Song Ha-yoon regarding allegations of school bullying has escalated significantly, resulting in the individual responsible for these claims facing legal consequences. This individual, now officially on a police wanted list, has prompted Song’s legal team to prepare for further legal proceedings.

According to a July 4 report from OSEN, the person identified as “A, ” who initially alleged that Song Ha-yoon engaged in school violence, has been listed as wanted by law enforcement authorities. Legal representatives from Law Firm Ji-eum stated that A has continually evaded cooperation with the investigation and is currently believed to be residing in the United States.

Despite Song Ha-yoon’s firm denial of the bullying allegations—asserting they are “completely untrue” —the rumors concerning her alleged forced school transfer gained traction. This situation has led to heightened scrutiny from the public and effectively halted her professional engagements following her role in “Marry My Husband.”

On July 2, her legal team released a statement affirming the inaccuracies of the bullying claims. They referenced credible witness statements from former classmates and a homeroom teacher, in addition to official school documentation verifying that Song was not forcibly transferred in any manner.

In a surprising turn, A made additional public statements on July 3 through social media channels and interviews, continuing to deny awareness of being listed as wanted while reiterating their allegations. Song’s legal representatives countered these claims, informing the public that they had confirmed with investigators that A had indeed been issued a wanted notice as of July 3. Upon returning to South Korea, A would be obligated to present themselves for questioning or face immediate arrest.

Moreover, Song’s team highlighted that A’s attempt to utilize their overseas status to escape responsibility constitutes a calculated act of defamation. They are preparing to file supplementary criminal charges focused on defamation as per Korea’s Information and Communications Network Act, as well as obstruction of business operations.

It’s essential to note that A’s U. S.citizenship does not offer immunity from South Korean law obligations, particularly since A retains their Korean nationality.

As this situation continues to develop, there is a growing call within the public sphere for stricter accountability concerning the spread of unverified claims, especially when such accusations jeopardize the careers and reputations of prominent individuals.
