On the 28th, the Bangbae Police Station in Seoul announced that they are conducting an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Moon Taeil (30, real name Moon Tae-il), a member of the idol group NCT. However, a police representative clarified that the investigation is not related to any sexual crimes involving minors of the same gender.

After having discussions with Taeil, it has been determined that he will be departing from the group.

Following the unexpected announcement of Taeil’s departure, there was an uproar among fans who were shocked by the news. This was due to the revelation of his involvement in a sexual misconduct lawsuit, which had not been publicly announced before and only added to the shock. As a result, there has been a flurry of speculation among netizens, as unverified posts continue to circulate on various online communities and social media platforms.

In August of last year, Taeil was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way home, which resulted in his temporary suspension of activities. Fans, who had believed that he was taking time off to rest and recuperate, were caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events.

Despite facing an investigation regarding the sexual misconduct allegations, all eyes are now on the circumstances surrounding Taeil’s departure. He first made his debut in April 2016 as a member of NCT U and became well-known for his contributions to NCT and NCT 127.
