- Advance forward, ascend the stairs to your right, and climb onto the blue boxes.
- Aim at the swing bar overhead and use the left-click to activate it. Then sprint and jump to land on the next box.
- Look to your right; you should spot a battery in the distance. Target it and left-click twice to collect it.
- Return to the previous area and insert the battery into the door to unlock it.
Upon opening the door with your blue glove, continue until you encounter a large yellow gate. This gate is secured with a rope, which can be cut using your Flare glove.
Once you pass through a collection of abandoned toys, you’ll reach a significant prison gate, which activates a lockdown protocol. Your new goal becomes locating an alternative entrance. Here’s how to find it:
- Standing in front of the gate, a toy creature will emerge from behind. Utilize your flare gun to torch it, then move back.
- Focus to your left where there’s a pile of toys; climb the heap to reach the corner.
- Find a broken door below the light and navigate the path until you discover the jump pads.
- Run towards the jump pads and use the right-click with your purple glove to jump across the platforms. Repeat this twice, then carefully cross the narrow ledge into the prison.
After successfully navigating the platforms, follow the corridor until you discover another swing bar that allows access into the prison’s interior.
Once inside, your immediate objectives are to retrieve the key and power up the train, marking the official start of Chapter 4. Follow these instructions:

Escaping the Prison and Navigating the Red Gas Trap
After regaining consciousness within the prison, your new objective is to escape. However, this is not as straightforward as it seems. Here’s how to proceed:
- Follow the pathway until you reach a white area.Look up to find a swing bar. Use your blue glove to grapple it and climb upwards.
- Move forward towards a broken vent. Use your blue glove to open the Large Blue Door located on the lower floor.
- After opening the door, head back downstairs to your prison cell. Open the unlocked door and jump down through the hole in the ground.
- Eliminate the critter with your flare, then navigate to the corridor’s end. Open the second-to-last door and remove the wooden panels using your blue glove.
- Crouch and proceed into the next cell, which will lead you into another room where you can find the Red Glove, allowing you to access security doors.
Once equipped with the Red Glove, exit the room. Be prepared for an ambush by multiple critters.Close the Prison Doors to fend them off, which should last for about a minute. Additionally, use flares to create distractions temporarily.
Continue down the corridor upstairs to discover a control room. Enter the code 3255 to open the exit door at the corridor’s end.
- Continue through the path until you encounter another control room. Unlock the first door using your blue glove.

- Run straight until you reach a room at the end containing a table with a Valve Wheel on the right. Seize it with your glove.
- Carry the wheel back to the leaking pipe. Slide through the crack on the left (not where you previously entered) and crouch beneath the steel cage.
- Position the wheel onto the pipe and turn it to halt the gas leak. Note that this is only part of the challenge.
- Quickly unlock the door with your glove and head upstairs to another control room.
Inside, you must tackle yet another puzzle and enter the code 3642 to eliminate the red gas enveloping the prison.
Clearing the gas will cause pressure to build up, resulting in a glass section on the left breaking.
- Pass through the shattered glass and follow the path until you encounter a jump pad at the end of the room. Sprint towards it and use your purple glove to ascend.
- Once through, you will face another puzzle; drag blue boxes beneath the descending gates. Each large box must be positioned under its respective shutter.
- Attach your gloves to the panels in each room. When both are active, the door in the center will open.
This will lead you to a laboratory where you will encounter Yarnby—not the friendly version—but the lethal one. Prepare to battle against Yarnby as you progress.
Surviving Yarnby and Encountering Doey
Once Yarnby vanishes, open the panel on the left and insert the battery into the right slot to exit. Here’s how to navigate to the next segment of the chapter:
- Walk through the corridor until you enter a storage room. Here, Yarnby will be searching for you. Remain crouched at all times.
- Cross the first section, then wait for Yarnby to head to the left side of the room (when it starts to burn).
- Once it does, grab the swing bar above the vent on the right and begin climbing. Move quickly as Yarnby will attempt to strike you upon your ascent.
- Upon entering the subsequent room, Yarnby will still be present. Wait for it to turn away and make your escape.
Remain hidden and watch for Yarnby to leave the area. Once it’s safe, continue forward until you come across Pianosaurus, witnessing him meet a gruesome fate at the hands of Doey.
Arriving at Safe Haven
Following your encounter with Doey the Doughman, your objective shifts to following Doey to reach the Safe Haven. During this journey, you’ll encounter a locked gate puzzle—here’s how to solve it:
- Retrieve the chain hooks attached to the wall using your glove, then hook them onto the door handles.
- There are four hooks total; you will need to attach two to each handle. Also, several levers must be attached nearby.
- One lever is already secured; two can be found on the floor near a locker with the last lever on top of the Blue Tower.
- Unlock the locker using the code 3021 to retrieve the final lever. Once connected, activate all four levers with your glove to unlock the door.
Continue through the corridors until you encounter another challenge requiring a gear combination to progress to the next area.
This gear combination puzzle represents your last challenge before reaching Safe Haven. To complete it, follow these steps:
- The first gear can be found on the left steel shelf upon entering the maze from the left gate.
- The second gear is tucked away behind two stacks of blue boxes in the right corner when entering from the center gate.
- The third gear rests on another steel shelf located in the maze’s center.
- Once you collect all three gears, arrange them according to the provided illustration (the largest gear in the center with two medium ones on each end).
Finding The Doctor and Defeating Yarnby

After entering the Infirmary, expect a series of complex puzzles beginning with an electric pole puzzle. Here’s how to navigate through it:
- Draw the mine cart with a dead body to the closest red-light station, which will unlock the second gate.
- Next, extend the electric pole cart to the next red-light station until it turns green, unlocking the third gate.
- Finally, move the second electric pole to the third red-light station until it also turns green. Now attach your blue glove to the generator marked ‘1.’
- Wrap the electric wire between the two poles and then plug the purple glove into the second socket near the gate to unlock it.
- Follow the corridor until you find the first computer with a cable connected that must be activated to open the next door.
- Be cautious; Yarnby is pursuing you, so avoid sprinting to prevent attracting his attention. Continue into the next area to begin the next task.
- Activate the lever at the computer and make your way to the Handscanner machine.Two are positioned on the bottom floor and another is at the end of the room across from the entrance.
Activating these machines will power the main console located within the cave. Press the adjacent button to open the next door. Progress to find another machine where you’ll need to flip the lever and secure the Access Card.
As you navigate the corridor, you will eventually unlock the final door, prompting you to run for your life. Sprint and escape while being chased by Yarnby, culminating in a jump across fire to defeat Yarnby.
Eliminating The Doctor and Handling the Frozen Gas Trap
After dispatching Yarnby, your focus shifts to eliminating The Doctor. Start by dragging the blue boxes and parkour through the next room. This is when you will encounter Doey, who will explain the challenge of the frozen pipes. Here’s how to tackle this challenge:
- As you enter the room, observe several pipes leaking freezing gas, which can impair and injure you upon contact.
- First, trigger the slider on the primary pipe to shut off the leak. Then, use your glove to operate the valve on the second pipe through the gas.
- Your path will then lead to a morgue-like experimentation room where The Doctor has set a series of quick-time traps.
Your hand will become caught when trying to open the door on the right, and frozen gas will begin flooding the chamber. To survive The Doctor’s frozen gas trap, follow these steps:
- First, turn around and access the compartment labeled ‘2.’ Inside, you’ll find a spare battery.
- Utilizing your right glove, take the battery and position it behind the saw machine on the ceiling.
- Once the saw activates, pull it towards you with your right glove, thereby severing the attached blue glove.
- Next, pick up the blue glove laying on the floor and transfer it to the Scanner in the ‘Temperature Control’ section. This action will cease the gas leakage and unlock the door.
- Finally, unplug the ‘Temperature Control’ and place the plug into the socket in the red room (where the organ is located).
This will shatter the glass and open the door at the opposite end of the room, propelling you into the next puzzle involving red gas once more.
