Despite the numerous adaptations of games, movies, and popular literature that have emerged in recent decades, classic literature remains largely untouched. While there have been various movie adaptations, both well-known and lesser-known, graphic novels and manga have not frequently collaborated with classic works.

Since the announcement of Kadokawa’s Masterpiece Comics, fans have been overjoyed at the opportunity for literary works to be adapted into manga. While there have been adaptations into comic books, manga adaptations have been limited. This opens the door for a wider range of novels to be adapted, not just the ones mentioned previously.
