The recently released spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1120 have sparked a multitude of theories, including speculation about Robin’s origins and the significance of the D clan. The revelation that Clover is a member of the D clan has led to speculation that Robin may also belong to this clan, even if she is unaware of it.

Some of the most fascinating theories arising from chapter 1120 revolve around the singular panel showing Vegapunk and Clover together in Punk Hazard. This has sparked speculations about Onigashima, the skull island that served as Kaido’s stronghold during the events of the Wano arc.

The conversation between Vegapunk and Clover is the primary focus of the panel, but the background features a giant skull silhouette that bears a striking resemblance to the one on Onigashima. Without a doubt, Punk Hazard is one of the most enigmatic and captivating locations ever seen in the series.

The island of Punk Hazard is essentially divided into two distinct halves as a result of the fierce battle between Aokiji and Akainu. Interestingly, the entrance to the island is marked with warning signs bearing the symbols of the Marines, World Government, and a prominent skull resembling that of Onigashima.

This, coupled with the Numbers’ appearance in Kaido’s base, which Kaido purportedly purchased from Punk Hazard, suggests that the Onigashima skull may have originally been a part of Punk Hazard, but was somehow acquired by Kaido.

There is a strong possibility that Kaido was imprisoned in Punk Hazard during his capture and subjected to experiments in order to advance the study of dragons. This aligns with the revelation that Punk Hazard was conducting research on ancient giants.

The Numbers and various dragons encountered in the series were a direct result of this research. The Onigashima skull likely acted as a repository of genetic information, aiding in the revival of ancient giants.

Final Thoughts

Despite Big Mom’s dialogue during the Wano arc indicating that Kaido purchased the failed ancient giants from Punk Hazard, it remains a possibility that the original skull and genetic material present in Punk Hazard came from Onigashima.

It is highly likely that Kaido had taken it before in the story, given his impressive feat of moving the entire Onigashima during the Wano arc.
