Possible Delay for Verdansk’s Warzone Return, Leaks Suggest

Excitement has been building among Warzone players for the potential return of Verdansk, but recent reports indicate that the beloved map may be postponed for a second time.

While there has been no official announcement, it is widely known that Verdansk will be making a comeback in Warzone. However, ‘BobNetworkUK_’ suggests that we may have to wait longer than anticipated to revisit the original map.

The individual who shared the information stated in a post on August 15 that the release date is currently planned for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2, which is expected to debut in early 2025, following the pattern of previous years.

Nevertheless, it was mentioned by them that the highly anticipated comeback might be delayed even more due to the fact that Raven Software is “reportedly falling behind on their project deadlines.”

Initially, it was believed that the OG map would make a comeback during the release of Black Ops 6 Season 1, which is expected to happen around December 2024. This information was reported by Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming towards the end of 2023.

Subsequently, it was announced by BobNetworkUK and confirmed by our own sources that Verdansk’s release would be postponed to the upcoming year. It is currently believed that there will be no introduction of a fresh Battle Royale map to commence the new era of Warzone.

Initially, no explanations were provided for the delay, however, with the release of this recent update, it appears that the developers are facing challenges in preparing the map on schedule. Fortunately, it has been officially announced that Ranked Play will still be introduced in Urzikstan at some point in 2024, which will serve as a temporary solution to keep the community engaged during the wait.

It is important to remember that, although there have been numerous reports, this information is still based on leaks since Activision has not yet made an official announcement confirming the return of Verdansk.

Despite the highly-anticipated return of Versansk being a ways away, there are still numerous updates heading to Warzone with the release of Black Ops 6. These updates include a variety of new weapons and a revamped movement system.
