Possible revised heading: Potential Second D. Clan Member on One Piece’s Straw Hats

One Piece chapter 1118, scheduled for release on June 24, 2024, will see the return of Vegapunk’s message. The chapter will showcase a crucial moment where he attempts to reveal a member of the D clan, but is hindered by a signal jamming issue once again.

Despite the slim possibility of hearing from Vegapunk again, fans have been speculating about the identity of the mysterious D clan member. While it is impossible to say for sure who this person might be, it is possible that there is another D clan member among the Straw Hat Pirates whose true identity sheds light on the matter.

The enigmatic member of the D clan could potentially be Franky, as he is the only other member of the Straw Hat Pirates whose personality aligns with that of Monkey D Luffy. In addition, his charismatic demeanor, which has drawn the admiration of groups such as the Franky Family and Senior Pink, strongly suggests that he may also be a D clan member within the Straw Hat Pirates.

Exploring Franky’s Role as a D Clan Member in One Piece

After the Enies Lobby arc of One Piece, Franky became the eighth member to join the Straw Hat Pirates. Prior to his role as the crew’s shipwright, he served as the captain of the Franky Family. He had also previously worked as a mechanic under shipwright Tom.

Despite fans often forgetting, Franky’s true identity as Cutty Flam from the South Blue is a clear indication that he is a member of the D clan. At the age of 4, he was abandoned by his parents and arrived at Water 7, where he eventually became Tom’s apprentice.

Iceberg requested that Cutty Flam change his name to Franky permanently due to its difficulty in pronunciation. However, this decision may have had a deeper motive. The slight variation in pronunciation between Cutty Flam and Cut D Flam could have been intentionally concealed from the fandom.

It is possible that this may have been the main factor behind Iceberg’s suggestion for him to switch his name from Cut D. Flam to Franky. However, there is more evidence supporting his connection to the D family, much like his captain. Franky possesses a kind and compassionate demeanor, further solidifying his affiliation with the D clan.

Despite being one of the antagonists during the Water 7 arc, Franky still offered his support to the Straw Hat Pirates in their mission to rescue Nico Robin. He even shed tears when their beloved ship, the Going Merry, was burned, even though he was not a part of the crew.

Similarly, Franky’s character closely mirrors that of Luffy’s, making him quite appealing to others. This is evident in the fact that the Franky Family, a band of 50 outcasts without a place to call home, chose to follow Franky’s guidance. Like the main character, Franky is often depicted joyfully laughing with a carefree demeanor.

Despite being a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Franky stands out as a favorite among his male crewmates due to his cyborg body. His friendship with Senior Pink of the Donquixote Pirates is also widely known. Despite being a charismatic member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Franky formed an unlikely bond with a former enemy and they remained friends even after the Straw Hat Pirates emerged victorious in battle.

The striking resemblance of his charming personality, name, and bravery in the face of any opponent to those of Monkey D Luffy, the renowned member of the D clan, strongly suggests that he may also belong to this clan.
