Korean rock band and producer crew KAVE, which stands for Kings Always have Veiled Egos, made their debut with their EP Flight of Ideas. Lead vocalist Gaho is joined by Jisang on guitar, Hyun on keyboard, Ownr on keyboard and as DJ, and Kekinu on drums.
During KAVE‘s debut media showcase on July 23 at Musinsa Garage in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Gaho revealed the origins of the band as a collaboration between his high school and college friends. Although their initial goal was to create music, they eventually decided to incorporate live instrumentals, leading to the birth of KAVE. Gaho expressed his desire for audiences to differentiate between his solo work and his role in KAVE, and to appreciate the diverse genres of music that the band will continue to explore and release in the future.
The album Flight of Ideas consists of seven original tracks, all written and arranged by the artist. These tracks are titled “Venom,””Legend,””Hurricane,””Dangerous,””Avant,””Crazy Crazy,”and “Die for U.”
The song titled “Legend“is a blend of electronic and rock elements, featuring a captivating and compelling hook. The layered vocals add richness to the lyrics, which touch upon themes of inner turmoil and battling one’s alter ego.
KAVE has recently unveiled a brief music video for their hit song “Venom,”which was created by Team Us, the talented choreography team behind popular acts such as BoA, NCT, and the BOYZ. The band is also set to perform at their initial official event, the Gaho 2021 Online Concert ‘Ride Out,’ where soloist Gaho will serenade fans worldwide with his solo tracks, drama OSTs, and cover songs.
