Preparation for WoW: The War Within Full Release

World of Warcraft: The War Within is scheduled for a full release in August, and, like any expansion, it is expected to bring about significant changes. As a result, there are a few tasks that completionists should aim to complete before the launch.

The pre-patch for the expansion is currently live, concluding the previous PvP and Mythic+ seasons. Moreover, players can already experience several significant features from The War Within.

For the initial time, players can access Warbands, which enables them to connect several characters through a shared bank, items, achievements, and other functions. Additionally, there is a multitude of UI updates, the beginning of a brand-new questline, and an upcoming event set to debut next week.

Despite this, there is still a lot to accomplish before the previous expansion bids its final farewell.

Everything to Complete Before the Launch of The War Within

The developer has outlined all of the achievements from raids and dungeons that will be removed next month in a post on the official World of Warcraft website.

Raids

• Raids will no longer be “Awakened” when The War Within launches, and the following rewards, achievements, and teleports tied to them will no longer be attainable:
  • Voyaging Wilderling mount attained from Awakening the Dragonflight Raids.
  • “Awakened Hero” title attained from Heroic: Awakening the Dragonflight Raids.
  • Raid teleports Path of the Primal Prison, Path of the Bitter Legacy, and Path of the Scorching Dream earned from Mythic: Awakening the Dragonflight Raids.
  • Season 4 Awakened Raid Achievements:
    • Awakened Storms: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
    • Awakened Shadows: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
    • Awakened Flames: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
• Following the launch of The War Within, acquiring the Reins of Anu’relos and Flame’s Guidance will prove to be a more challenging task. Additionally, learning the mount on any class will also grant the Feather of the Blazing Somnowl and the Cinder of Companionship.

DUNGEONS

• The end of Mythic+ Season 4 marks the removal of the Font of Power from all Dragonflight Season 4 Dungeons.
• All Season 4 Achievements and rewards will no longer be attainable:
  • Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season 4 achievement and “the Draconic” title: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 1500 during Dragonflight Season 4.
  • Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 4 achievement and its Infinite Armoredon mount reward: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 2000 during Dragonflight Season 4.
  • Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season 4 achievement: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 2500 during Dragonflight Season 4.

The Keystone Hero Dungeon Teleports include The Azure Vault, Halls of Infusion, Neltharus, Algeth’ar Academy, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Brackenhide Hollow, Ruby Life Pools, and The Nokhud Offensive.

Furthermore, it is imperative to complete all tasks in WoW Remix before the event concludes on August 19. It is important to note that the pre-patch Radiant Echoes event will also come to an end shortly after the expansion launch on August 27.
