Following the success of the Stellar Crown set, which introduced the sought-after Stellar Tera Type Pokémon, the excitement surrounding Prismatic Evolutions is palpable. Polling data indicates that many smaller retailers across the United States will receive 10-15% less stock than they typically would, highlighting the constrained availability of this sought-after set.
The Prismatic Evolutions set boasts some of the most exciting EX Pokémon cards yet. Despite similar printing amounts compared to previous sets, specialty Pokémon store owner Ben DeGuire notes that the stock distribution will be scarce. This scarcity arises partly because non-Pokémon specialty stores are clamoring for their share of the set.

For instance, a store requesting 100 Elite Trainer Boxes may find their order reduced to as few as 15 units, regardless of their established relationship with distributors.
Meanwhile, major retailers like Walmart and Target are expected to maintain their usual stock allocations. Unfortunately, this consistent supply is at risk of being targeted by scalpers and resellers. Already, The Pokémon Center has run out of Prismatic Evolutions products, while eBay listings are already showcasing inflated prices.

The rush to acquire Prismatic Evolutions stems from its classification as a ‘Special Set’, meaning booster packs are not available as standalone products. Instead, they must be purchased through bundles or via Elite Trainer Boxes. Coupled with the set’s focus on the immensely popular Eevee and its evolutions, or ‘Eeveelutions’, the demand is both high and competitive.
