On October 11, 2024, the official Blue Lock anime website unveiled a sneak peek for the second episode of season 2, titled ‘The Killer and The Ninja.’ This exciting episode is scheduled to air on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:30 PM JST and will be accessible for streaming on Crunchyroll.

In the previous episode, audiences witnessed Ego Jinpachi’s strategy for selecting the starting eleven players for the upcoming match against the U-20 Japan team. The framework involved solidifying the top six players as the team’s backbone, while the remaining five spots would be filled through a tryout process that allows players to demonstrate their ability to collaborate and compete alongside the established elite.

In Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 2, Isagi Takes Center Stage in the First Third Selection Match

As previously noted, Yoichi Isagi chose to join Team A, which also includes Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shidou. Contrary to expectations that Isagi might need to wait for his opportunity, he will instead be featured prominently in the first match of the Third Selection.

This match will be an exciting moment for fans as it provides the first glimpse of Ryusei Shidou in action. Additionally, viewers will likely gain insights into how the highly-rated striker managed to outplay Kunigami Rensuke, while Isagi grapples with analyzing his own tactics to harmonize his gameplay with both Shidou and Rin.

The preview images indicate that Yoichi Isagi will partner with Hiori Yo and Nanase Ninjiro during the Third Selection match. Although fans may have seen these characters previously, they have not been deeply introduced yet. Episode 2 is expected to provide a detailed introduction to both players.

It’s pertinent to mention that while Hiori and Nanase have been visible in the series, they haven’t had dialogues until now. Therefore, viewers can anticipate the debut of the characters voiced by Eiji Mikami and Kakeru Hatano as Hiori Yo and Nanase Nijiro, respectively.
