Pokemon Go is known for its excessive and time-consuming animations scattered throughout the game.
No matter if you’re facing off against Rocket Grunts, capturing elusive Pokemon, or participating in exclusive events, it’s likely that you’ll encounter several drawn-out animations and lengthy conversations. Professor Willow is well-known for the latter, which is why a recent improvement to the game’s usability has been commended by players.
As mentioned on r/TheSilphRoad, players of Pokemon Go can now utilize a skip button to bypass dialogue during Special Research and other tasks within the game. This feature may seem insignificant, but it is a valuable time-saving tool for players who are not concerned with the game’s storyline.

Many Pokemon Go players were delighted by this update, especially with regards to talkative characters such as the Professor. One enthusiastic fan exclaimed, “THIS IS MASSIVE,”while another playfully asked, “Who is responsible for these quality-of-life improvements and what have they done with the genuine Niantic?”
One individual also expressed their opinion on the recent developments and updates in Pokemon Go, stating, “Niantic’s recent track record has been too good to be true.”
Although some fans were satisfied with the minor yet significant alteration, there were others who believed it was insufficient. They argued that the option to skip should also be implemented for other animations and events.
One collector suggested, “Inform me when I can opt out of evolutions. I currently have +1,600 Pokemon that need to be evolved.”Another collector proposed, “Why don’t we have a global option to skip the conversations with the grunts?”
Some players in the thread were also excited to mention that, in technical terms, skipping was already a feature in Pokemon Go, especially for those using Android devices.
“One Android player jokingly congratulated all iPhone users on the “new”addition to the game, saying, “We’ve had the back button to skip these for ages. Lol.”Another player added, “I’ve been able to skip forever…all you have to do is hit the back button as soon as the dialogue starts.”
While this feature may not be groundbreaking for all users, it is an essential improvement for some that will greatly facilitate interactions with talkative NPCs. Even small changes like the inclusion of this button show promise, and it will be intriguing to see if any additional modifications are implemented in the future.
