PSA: If You Plan on Playing V Rising 1.0, Buy It Now

If V Rising, the survival game from Stunlock Studios, has been on your radar for some time now, you may have been holding off on purchasing it for various reasons. Perhaps you were waiting for friends to join you, or you wanted to wait for the release of version 1.0. Or, like me, you may struggle with making decisions. However, with the release of V Rising in 1.0 coming this May, now is the opportune time to make your purchase. The game’s price will be increasing on April 5, so if you want to secure the best price for a while, take advantage of this chance.

As of April 5, 2024, the cost of purchasing V Rising will rise significantly from its current price of around $19.99 to $34.99. This means that if you plan on buying the game in the future, you will have to pay nearly double the original price. The reason behind this decision is straightforward: since its initial release in Early Access in May 2022, the game has received a significant amount of additional content, making it a more valuable package. As a result, the developer must increase the price to cover the development expenses. However, there is still time to purchase the game at the lower price before it goes up.

For those looking for a better deal, it’s worth exploring options outside of Steam. Fanatical, a key seller, currently has Steam copies of V Rising for $15.99, while Indiegala is offering an even lower price of $14.79. I’ve personally had positive experiences with both Indiegala and Fanatical, so I can confidently vouch for their reliability. Once you receive a code, simply redeem it on the bottom-left of the Steam client. This will grant you access to the game and the upcoming 1.0 update. I plan on purchasing a copy for myself, as I am excited to play with friends in the future. Of course, that’s if we can ever coordinate a gaming session together.
