On July 25th, singer Psy revealed that he would be rescheduling the “SUMMERSWAG2024” concert, originally planned for July 20th, due to sudden rain. The concert will now take place on the 31st of next month.
The event SUMMERSWAG2024, which took place on July 20 at Seoul Grand Park Parking Plaza in Gwacheon, was disrupted when heavy rain and lightning struck in the middle of the event. The intense downpour, along with powerful winds, even resulted in a large lighting fixture falling onto the stage.
On July 25th, P Nation, Psy’s agency, announced that the ‘SUMMERSWAG2024-July 20 Gwacheon Concert’ which was cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions, will now take place on August 31 at the same venue. The artist, P Nation, and staff were determined to fulfill their promise to the audience who had eagerly anticipated the show, and swiftly made the decision to reschedule the concert. No additional reservation process is required for those who wish to attend.
“According to P Nation, the assigned seat’s rank, number, purchase information, and ticket receipt will remain unchanged. If individuals are unable to attend the concert, they can cancel their ticket through the Interpark Ticket website or customer center for a full refund.”
Despite receiving praise for his fan-centric response, there were several other factors that led to fans admiring Psy’s approach to problem-solving. On July 20th, the singer openly shared his thoughts and actions in response to the canceled concert. He emphasized the importance of the safety of the audience and staff, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in ensuring a safe return home, including the Gwacheon City Hall, police station, Seoul Grand Park, and other relevant agencies. When you pay for a pricey ticket once a year, I want to ensure that you are the happiest person in the world.”This further reveals his genuine dedication and appreciation towards his fans.
