Why Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 is the final chance for Pierrot to do Chad justice, explained

With the unveiling of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 3 trailer and key visual, it appears that Pierrot Films, which was recently established, has been diligently preparing for the upcoming release of the next installment in the series.

Despite the trailer hinting at numerous fights, there is one character, Sado Yasutoda, also known as Chad, whose role in the story requires some improvement, which may not be as exciting for fans.

Despite the lack of Chad’s appearance in the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, Pierrot Films’ third installment of the series remains their final opportunity to properly showcase his character.

Please note: This article may include spoilers from the Bleach manga.

Final Opportunity for Pierrot to Showcase Chad in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3

Despite being a crucial member of the main quartet, Sado Yasutora, also known as Chad, had very few significant moments during the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, much to the disappointment of Bleach manga fans. This raised confusion as he was an integral part of the series and had not yet received his moment, unlike his fellow quartet members Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue, and Ishida Uryu. It seemed odd for manga creator Tite Kubo to exclude Chad from the spotlight.

In addition, the character of Chad is integral to the anime’s advertising, as shown in the latest key visual which includes Ichigo Kurosaki, Ganju Shiba, Orihime Inoue, and Sado Yasutora. This promotional material hints at Chad’s significant role in the upcoming part 3 of the anime. However, the anime’s latest trailer does not provide any hints about Chad’s involvement in the storyline.

Sado Yasutora’s last individual fight in the anime took place during the Invasion of Hueco Mundo Arc, which was the previous rendition of the show. He emerged victorious against the Arrancar Gantenbainne Mosqueda. However, his victory was cut short when Espada 5 Nnoitra Gilga and Arrancar Tesra Lindocruz appeared and left him unconscious.

Luckily, the trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 reveals that there will be an abundance of anime-original scenes overseen by the manga’s creator, Tite Kubo. This opens up the possibility for Pierrot Films to potentially create an anime-exclusive battle for Sado Yasutora, allowing him to shine in a memorable way.

With the recent release of the key visual featuring the Fullbringer, it is highly likely that this will come to fruition. However, some fans may question why we think Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 will be Pierrot Films’ final opportunity to redeem Chad’s character.

As Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4 marks the conclusion of the Bleach anime, it is highly unlikely that Pierrot Films will animate an original fight for a supporting character towards the end of the story. This is especially true if the character’s abilities are significantly weaker than the series’ main antagonists. Thus, the upcoming Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 anime will be manga creator Tite Kubo’s final opportunity to give redemption to Chad.
