JYP Entertainment Confirms ITZY Lia’s Return and Participation in Upcoming Album Activities

Her return has been confirmed by the agency.

On July 8, an official statement was released by JYP Entertainment announcing that Lia would be resuming her activities with ITZY.

Since September 2023, the lead singer has been on an indefinite hiatus due to health issues and has not participated in any of the group’s activities, content, or tours.

As per the statement, JYP Entertainment revealed that Lia’s rest and recovery have resulted in improved anxiety symptoms and health.

Following a thorough discussion with Lia, it was ultimately decided that she would resume her activities and also take part in ITZY’s upcoming album. However, only the originally scheduled schedules and photoshoots will include the four members (Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryoung, Yuna).

The agency concluded its statement by expressing gratitude to fans for their unwavering support for Lia. JYP also reaffirmed their commitment to providing crucial support for all of their artists.

“Hello. This is JYP Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about ITZY member Lia’s health condition and her resumption of activities.

Lia’s tension and anxiety symptoms have improved with therapy and rest. After a thorough discussion with Lia, it was decided that she will return to her activities starting with ITZY’s new album, which will be released in the second half of the year.

However, in the case of pre-arranged schedules and filming before the release of the new album, please take note that it will only be carried out by four members (Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeyoung, and Yuna).

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to fans for their warm encouragement and support for Lia’s recovery. We will continue to support artists so that they can meet their fans in good health.
