Battlefield 6 Beta: Cheaters Exploit Game Within Hours of Launch

Despite the developers’ efforts to strengthen security by requiring players to enable Secure Boot, cheaters have already surfaced in the Open Beta for Battlefield 6. This early indication of hacking has raised concerns among the gaming community.

The launch of Battlefield 6 has generated considerable excitement, with thousands of eager fans waiting for the servers to go live. Within a short span, the game achieved remarkable milestones, becoming the most-watched title on Twitch and reaching record peak player counts for the Battlefield franchise.

Cheating in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta: A Growing Concern

Gamers were quick to capture and share clips of cheating incidents once the Open Beta went live on August 7. Notably, one user, ‘ItsHapa, ’ posted evidence on X showing a player utilizing wallhacks to pinpoint enemy locations from afar.

This incident is not isolated, as another user known as ‘Nova’ also shared similar footage of cheating behavior, further amplified by YouTuber Frozen_ssdd.

The incorporation of Secure Boot for PC players was thought to minimize these risks by preventing unauthorized software from running at startup. However, it appears that unrestricted cheating persists even after this security measure has been implemented. Additionally, Battlefield 6 employs Javelin Anti-Cheat for monitoring gameplay and identifying cheaters during matches, but history shows that managing cheating remains a complex challenge for game developers.

In response to the detected issues, Battlefield 6 Producer Alexia Christofi acknowledged the situation and noted that the player featured in ItsHapa’s video had already been banned. Nevertheless, players are expressing unease regarding the future of the game’s integrity and security.

Comments from players highlight their frustration, with one user stating, “Bro lmfao ea humiliated. Secureboot is a waste of time, ” while another remarked, “Multiplayer games are fried. All this bulls**t secure boot for nothing. What a joke.”

With Battlefield 6 scheduled for release on October 10, 2025, players are hopeful that the developers will find a robust solution to combat cheating before the game launched.
