Treyarch has officially announced the upcoming addition of more remastered maps from Black Ops 2 to the latest installment, Black Ops 7, following the beloved maps Raid, Express, and Hijacked. This move is part of a larger trend in the Call of Duty franchise, where developers have consistently revitalized classic maps to appeal to long-time fans.

The nostalgia associated with revisiting well-loved maps is a major draw for players, particularly for those eager to experience locales that have not been revisited in years. When Treyarch revealed that Raid, Express, and Hijacked would be integrated into Black Ops 7, it sparked excitement among the Call of Duty community.

While Raid and Express have seen previous remasters, Hijacked has not been brought back until now. Several other iconic Black Ops 2 maps are also poised for a revival, indicating that players have much to look forward to.

Future Map Releases Confirmed by Treyarch

In a developer update released on September 9, Treyarch team members Matt Scronce and Brittany Pirello provided insights into the future of remapped content.“We are planning to release additional Black Ops 2 remasters. While I can’t disclose too many details, I’ve noticed some of you have correctly predicted a few of the upcoming maps, ” Scronce hinted.

Pirello affirmed that more remastered maps would also feature within the Call of Duty League (CDL), adding, “As you have seen already with Raid and Express, expect to see more of these classics released post-launch.”

Scronce emphasized that discussions with the CDL regarding competitive map selections were essential. He teased the return of a map that hasn’t been seen since the days of Black Ops 2, noting its competitive gameplay in modes such as Search and Destroy.“I’ll leave you with that hint, ” he stated cryptically.

Pirello also mentioned the potential comeback of Yemen, quoting esports icon Seth ‘Scump’ Abner’s famous line, “Who’s the best in the game?” as an amusing nod to the excitement surrounding its return.

As details continue to surface regarding remastered content, fans eagerly anticipate how these classic maps will enhance the gameplay experience in Black Ops 7. To stay updated on these developments, refer to sources such as Dexerto.
