ChartMasters, a popular Western media site, has recently released its compilation of “The 60 most global artists of all-time”. This list features renowned names such as Micheal Jackson, The Beatles, and Taylor Swift among others.
Remarkably, BLACKPINK was specifically referenced at No. 58, solidifying their position as the sole female group on the list and the most internationally recognized female group in history.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK is one of only two Kpop groups listed, along with BTS ranking at No. 46.
In their analysis of BLACKPINK’s inclusion, ChartMasters stated that the group’s success highlights the widespread popularity of K-Pop. They are on par with iconic metal band Iron Maiden, who are renowned for their global tours and ability to sell out stadiums.
