The highly anticipated release of Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 has been officially confirmed for October 2024, with a trailer released by the official staff on Sunday, July 7, 2024. The promotional video also revealed the talented artists who will be providing the opening and ending theme songs. Additionally, a new key visual has been unveiled, adding to the excitement for the Fall 2024 premiere.

The upcoming sequel, Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3, will continue the story from the previous installment, which aired for 13 episodes from July 2023 to September 2023. Produced by a new subsidiary studio, Pierrot Films, the series is an adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga arc, Thousand-year Blood War.

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, the official staff for Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 announced at Anime Expo 2024 that the sequel will be released in October 2024 by streaming a promotional video. Later, Aniplex also streamed the PV and a special video featuring a key visual.

The teaser for Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 features exclusive remarks from Masakazu Morita, the voice actor for Ichigo, and Noriaki Sugiyama, who voices Uryu. Then, the trailer showcases the Bankai of the Gotei 13 captains, including Shunsui Kyoraku, whose Bankai is yet to make an appearance in the anime.

The PV also includes scenes of Ichigo Kurosaki charging at Yhwach with his Zanpakuto, Zangetsu. Notably, the trailer showcases a combination of anime original scenes, such as Ichigo’s battle against Uryu, and animated versions of events from the manga.

The trailer also gives a sneak peek at the opening and ending theme songs for Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3. SIX LOUNGE sang the opening, Kotoba ni Zuzu to mo (Without Any Last Words), and Suiso performed the ending, Monochrome.

The artists’ comments have been posted on the anime’s official website, where they expressed their deep dedication towards the creation of the songs.

In addition, the special PV showcases a significant visual highlighting the characters Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue, Chad, and Ganju. The visual captures Ichigo wielding his newly forged blades, which he did after coming to terms with the truth about Zangetsu. Undoubtedly, this visual effectively sets the tone for the upcoming anime.

Cast and staff for Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War – Part 3

The upcoming sequel will see the return of the original cast, including Masakazu Morita as the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki, Yasumoto Hiroki as Chad, Yuki Matsuoka as Orihime Inoue, Fumiko Orikasa as Rukia, Kentaro Ito as Renji, Noriaki Sugiyama as Uryu, Takayuki Sugo as Yhwach, and many other talented actors.

The staff at Pierrot Films has undergone a small change, with Murata Hikaru taking over as the director in place of Tomohisa Taguchi. Tomohisa-san is now the general manager, and will also continue to serve as the series composer alongside Masaki Hiramatsu.

Masashi Kudo continues to serve as the character designer, and the team of Toru Hasegawa, Sei Komatsubara, and Kumiko Takayanagi remain the chief animation directors. Shiro Sagisu also remains the composer for part 3, with Nagasaki Yukio retaining the role of sound director.

Continuing the story from Tite Kubo’s manga series, Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War part 3 follows the ongoing conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Quincies. In the previous season, Ichibei appeared to have emerged victorious in his battle against the King of Quincy, Yhwach.

Despite this, he unleashes his true abilities in order to rejoin the fight. Simultaneously, Ichigo and his comrades journey towards the Soul King’s Palace to face their archenemies. The approaching season promises thrilling action as the Soul Reapers push themselves to their limits against the Quincies.
