Despite a slight catch, it is worth noting that one of the most iconic guns in Modern Warfare 2 still maintains one of the best TTKs in Warzone.
In recent weeks, there has been a resurgence in the use of guns from Modern Warfare 2 in Warzone, particularly with the nerfing of weapons such as the KAR98K and Superi 46 by the developers.
Some stats experts have brought attention to unconventional choices like the TR-76 Geist, M16, and STB-556, but that doesn’t mean they are the only effective options carried over from the previous Call of Duty.
As per Warzone specialist WhosImmortal, the MP5, also known as the Lachmann Shroud, has made a comeback in the meta. However, to fully utilize its potential, players must now use the TAC Stance approach.
According to the YouTuber, the Lachmann Shroud is equipped with the JAK Decimator kit, transforming it into a fully automatic MP5. This specific setup is designed for TAC Stance due to its extremely high Time to Kill (TTK) at close range, clocking in at 600 ms. This places it among the top-performing SMGs in the game.
After careful consideration, WhosImmortal pointed out that a focus on mobility is necessary, even if it means sacrificing some control. The benefit of this approach is the ability to achieve a lightning-fast time-to-kill and utilize a highly aggressive SMG.
“According to him, the build is intriguing and requires reliance on the TAC Stance, which may require some adjustment. However, once you successfully hit your shots at close range, this weapon is quite formidable.”

Despite the slight resurgence of guns from Modern Warfare 2, the Shroud has not yet gained significant popularity.
According to the statistics provided by WZRanked, the SMG currently ranks as the 22nd most used weapon in the battle royale, a significant decrease from its previous position at the top of the charts.
The meta will likely see it make a comeback at some point, especially considering its effectiveness in close-range combat. However, this has not yet occurred.
