The popular YouTuber Coffeezilla has publicly criticized Jason Derulo for his actions in launching a new cryptocurrency, labeling him as “pathetic.”
On June 23, 2024, popular musician Jason Derulo released his own cryptocurrency, $JASON. This launch prompted thousands of his dedicated fans to invest in the project through the use of the Solana blockchain.
The investigation by YouTube content creator Coffeezilla, known for exposing various crypto “scams”on the internet and making videos about popular influencers such as Logan Paul and Dillon Danis, gained rapid attention.
Coffezilla publicly criticized Jason Derulo’s recent crypto launch in a video posted on June 25, using strong language to express their disapproval towards the artist.
Coffee expressed her disappointment in Jason Derulo, stating that he could possibly be one of the least creative individuals on Earth. She went on to discuss the launch of the $JASON coin.
“Now, he makes the decision to launch his own coin on pumpdotfun, the platform where numerous celebrities have already launched their meme-coin scams.”
The YouTuber claimed that the project was a rugpull as it was discovered that the idea had been stolen from someone else. It was mentioned that the coin was created by Jason Derulo and he quickly issued an apology for his actions, using someone named Sahill in the process.
Jason Derulo stated in the apology video that his ultimate objective was to propel the value of the new crypto project “to the moon.”
“According to Coffee, Jason Derulo is like a walking clown. I wonder how long he will continue to support this coin. It seems like his ‘life goal’ only lasts for about 20 minutes.”
“What’s really disheartening is that his coin’s value has risen significantly. Due to the insider connections involved in the creation of these coins, the odds are stacked against you and you will likely lose 99% of the time.”
CoinGecko reports that on June 25, the value of $JASON coin experienced a significant increase. Additionally, the celebrity has been actively engaging with the project’s community on social media, according to their Twitter account (@jasonderulo).
