CourageJD defended himself on social media against those who accused him and other creators of knowing about the allegations against Dr Disrespect. He called the rumors “ridiculous,”while streamers like TimTheTatman and Nickmercs, who were once friends with Dr Disrespect, have chosen to distance themselves from him. They stated that they cannot support someone who admitted to using Twitch’s Whispers feature inappropriately with a minor.
Some internet users started to question those who were closest to Dr Disrespect, wondering how they were unaware of his alleged communication with a minor before the evidence was made public. In response to a tweet by Jake Lucky, CourageJD – a former friend of the Doc – made it clear that he was just as surprised as everyone else.
Think all you want about the Dr Disrespect situation, it sucks. But to now infer that his streamer buddies somehow knew about what he did and why he was banned is absurd

“The content of his post made me feel physically ill,”he stated in response to a tweet discussing the controversy. “There were numerous speculations surrounding the reason for his ban, with one of the most prevalent being a contract dispute where he allegedly attempted to use another platform to negotiate with Twitch.”
“After going to court, we were informed that a settlement had been reached. I am appalled and disgusted by his actions and still in disbelief. However, the notion that people in his gaming group were aware of his behavior is an absurd accusation,”he stated.
CourageJD regularly played games with Dr Disrespect
Numerous commenters expressed their support for Courage, noting that several other streamers who were once associated with the Doc have since distanced themselves and publicly criticized his behavior in the days after his statement.
“Some individuals are behaving as if they have never been deceived before. If the issue was brought up within the group, do you believe he lied to them about the situation, or if it was even discussed at all? Regardless, as an adult, he is responsible for his own actions. Now that he has shared what happened, no one in the group is accepting of his behavior,”stated a user, referencing a tweet.
Several organizations that previously had connections with Dr Disrespect have severed all relationships with him, including Turtle Beach, the San Francisco 49ers, and his own video game company, Midnight Society.
