Elden Ring player kills Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss without dodging or blocking

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has taken the already challenging bosses in Elden Ring and elevated them to an even higher level, making them some of the most difficult fights in single-player RPGs.

Minor spoilers ahead.

Despite its difficulty, Promised Consort Radahn is usually the most challenging foe. However, there is one player who has successfully defeated the god without resorting to dodging or blocking.

On YouTube, Recjawjind, an Elden Ring player, accomplished an impressive feat by utilizing a build that focuses mainly on durability and health regeneration.

One of the primary methods used by Recjawjind to regain health is through life steal, which allows them to recover a portion of the damage dealt whenever they hit an opponent. This is made possible by Malenia’s Great Rune, which specifically provides life steal after receiving damage (which occurs frequently during battles).

The impact of this ability is amplified by the Godskin Swaddling Cloth Talisman, which activates whenever the player successfully lands consecutive attacks. Each successful hit after the initial strike grants the player 30 + 3% of their HP.

Additionally, he expertly utilizes Blessing Boon, which passively restores 8 hp/s. This, coupled with strategic item choices and precise timing of skills, allows them to successfully reach their goal.

The Crimson Bubbletear serves as a get-out-of-jail-free card, providing an instant 30% heal when the player’s overall health falls below 20%. This is particularly useful during the meteor phase of the battle, as it typically causes player health to drop between 50-80%.

Although Crimson Bubbletear was effective, it had one drawback – the healing effect would not activate if the player’s health dropped below zero from a single attack. Therefore, Recjawjind had to make sure their health stayed above the amount of damage inflicted by Radahn’s final attack.

Despite the difficulty of the boss, it is still an incredibly impressive accomplishment. Numerous members of the community have expressed their frustration with the boss’s toughness, claiming that it takes away from the enjoyment of the fight.
