Valorant’s upcoming Episode 9 is teasing the introduction of a new Agent, known as Silver Thumb and codenamed Agent 26. This new addition is expected to arrive in the middle of Act 8, following Clove’s appearance. Although specifics are still unknown, teasers have provided some insight into the potential role this Agent may play.
The hype for Valorant’s new agents is built through hidden clues that can be found throughout the game. These clues can come in the form of player cards, emails, or Agent voice lines, and this remains the case for the latest additions.
The battle pass for Episode 9 featured two player cards that appear to be inspired by the new Agent. These include a rose and one showing Omen reaching towards Crystals. Additionally, two teaser trailers were released, one depicting rose thorns emerging from the ground and the other showing an hourglass coming to life.

The trailer for Act 1 of Episode 9 provides hints about the abilities of the new agent, as it shows spiky roots emerging from the ground. This, along with the rose player card, suggests that Agent 26 may have a snaring ability that can trap players. Furthermore, the recently released Episode 8 finale introduced the “Abyss”map, which is closely tied to the enigmatic Hourglass group. In the trailer, a figure can be seen awakening from a capsule, possibly providing insight into Agent 26’s origins.

The “Hourglass”is a topic that is frequently discussed in the emails and voicemails sent by other Agents to Brimstone, the leader of the Agents organization.
Fade
“Brimstone! Brimstone, it’s Fade. When you gave us information about this location, I had hoped that perhaps this is where he has been hiding all this time. But unfortunately, there was no trace of him in the cells; nothing at all. They say you’re only truly gone when people stop remembering you, so I won’t give up my search.”
Skye
“Could you please help me gather some samples from the Hourglass base and bring them to the lab? I’m currently in the South Wing and I’ve noticed some unusual vegetation, like brimstone. From my past experiences, I know that this type of flora is not native to our Earth. It’s almost as if… well, I’ll explain more when we speak in person. Can you please contact me after you track down Gekko? Thank you.”
Isolation
“I stumbled upon a sleek blade while exploring the Hourglass vaults. I have decided to take it, but not before confirming its safety with KJ. She assured me it was secure. Plus, it’s clearly a knife.”
Sage
“Earlier, I had a meeting with Cypher and Omen to review the remaining Hourglass archives. Cypher informed me about the system’s failsafe that erased all personnel files, and how the physical archives were destroyed in the battle. As expected, Omen reacted poorly to the news. After the meeting, I allowed him some space to process his thoughts. It seemed like what he needed.”

Based on the messages received from the current agents, it can be inferred that they are in search of a new Agent referred to as “he/him”in the Abyss region and associated with the Hourglass agency. Additionally, the inclusion of Omen’s player card and a message from Sage suggests a potential connection to the new Agent.
Agent 26 is currently in the initial phase of leaks and may not receive any additional teasers until closer to the conclusion of Episode 9 Act 1. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
