In the present time, Max introduces three fresh recruits to the Fairy Tail guild. Although Laxus causes two of them to flee in fear, Touka remains and becomes a member out of gratitude towards Natsu for saving her from bandits. Makarov then informs her that Natsu is currently on a hundred-year quest.

Upon arriving at the ancient Magia Dragon guild in Guiltina, Team Natsu is met with an abundance of Ethernano that resembles snow. Despite the deserted state of the guild, they come across Elefseria, the Law Dragon, who discloses his past as a human-turned-Dragon Slayer. Despite his warning of the dangers that lie ahead on their quest, the team remains resolute in their determination.

Upon returning to Fairy Tail, Juvia and Touka engage in a heated discussion about their feelings for Gray and Natsu. Gajeel becomes wary when Touka mentions Briar, a member of Avatar. Elefseria then requests that the team sign a quest agreement, causing Lucy to hesitate. However, she remembers Virgo’s words about finding Aquarius and ultimately signs. Elefseria then discloses their mission: to seal the Five Dragon Gods, whose strength is said to rival that of Acnologia. Team Natsu immediately sets out on their journey to locate the Water Dragon God.
