On June 27, Epic Games revealed that the immensely popular Fortnite Reload will soon offer a Duo queue feature.
The main attraction of the unexpected update version 30.20 was the introduction of Fortnite Reload, a mode similar to Resurgence where players can respawn as long as their team is still alive. It quickly gained massive popularity, surpassing the player count of all other modes combined within the initial few hours of its release.
Despite the enjoyable experience of achieving Victory Royales on the map featuring classic locations and old-school weapons, a common complaint has been the mode’s limitation to only Squads. However, leaked information suggests that additional matchmaking options may be implemented in the future.
Without a doubt, Epic Games confirmed on their Twitter account that Duos would soon be added to Fortnite Reload. The developers later stated that Duos is expected to be available on June 27 at 9 AM ET.

When the mode arrived, the community became fatigued with the Squad-only filter. Consequently, this announcement was met with much admiration from fans.
“FORTNITE IS LISTENING, WOW!”one response exclaimed, with another adding, “That’s an incredible, massive victory!”
Many fans also expressed their desire for additional changes and updates, specifically requesting the addition of Trios and a Solos filter. The demand for a Solos mode was particularly high among the player base, with well-known Fortnite community member FitzyLeaks sharing their opinion: “Please include Solos in the next update, with a total of 5 lives.”
As the mode is still in its early stages, it is highly probable that the remaining queue options will be introduced in the near future. The aforementioned leaks also mentioned that Trios will eventually join Fortnite Reload.
Interestingly, there is speculation among fans that the introduction of Duos may also coincide with the release of the Cybertruck vehicle that was leaked. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out the new content in update 30.20, which features additions such as the Heavy Impact sniper and Remote Explosives, as well as the return of Reboot Rally.
