According to the Gwangju Fire Department, during the ‘Psy SUMMER SWAG 2024′ held at the World Cup Stadium in Seo-gu, Gwangju on July 7th, 78 spectators reported heat-related symptoms and four were subsequently transported to the hospital.
On July 6th, during the SUMMER SWAG event in Gwangju, the perceived temperature reached 31.3 degrees Celsius. The heatwave warning, which had been in effect since July 5th, was changed to a heatwave advisory at 10 a.m. KST on the day of the event.
In June of last year, during a concert at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, the event was briefly halted due to an audience member experiencing signs of exhaustion.
