Yet another contender has emerged in the world of Overwatch, this time from Sony. Firewalk Studios has unveiled Concord, a hero shooter that aims to dethrone Blizzard’s dominance.
Furthermore, in addition to the glimpses provided in the brief cinematic and gameplay trailers, it is known that the developers have intentions to conduct a beta testing phase with an established early access period.
Getting Early Access to Concord’s Beta
In order to gain early access to Concord, you must purchase one of its pre-order editions which will provide you and four others with access to the beta version.
In order to test out Concord before the open beta, one member of your group can pre-order the game and then share the access codes with the rest of the squad. Pre-orders are currently available.
Concord beta dates announced
Firewalk and Sony announced the beta dates for Concord in a post on the PlayStation Blog, revealing that the early access beta for pre-orders will take place from Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14 on both PC and PS5.
The open beta weekend will begin the following week, commencing on Thursday, July 18 and concluding on Sunday, July 21.
Regardless of their chosen platform, both early access and open beta users will have the option to participate in cross-play functionality with their friends on both PS5 and PC.
How to Play Concord Early
Aside from the early access beta, another option to play Concord in advance is by acquiring the Digital Deluxe Edition.
By buying the premium edition, you will receive 72 hours of exclusive early access to the complete version of Concord. This means you will be able to play on August 20, three days before the official release on August 23, 2024.
Concord is following in the footsteps of successful 2024 title Helldivers 2 by being released on both PlayStation and PC, making it another Sony game to do so simultaneously.
