Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail: Unlocking Extreme Trials
To access the Extreme difficulty trials in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail, simply seek out the Wandering Minstrel in Tulliyollal at coordinates X:11.1 and Y:14.6. Once you have located the Wandering Minstrel, you will be able to unlock the extreme versions of these encounters.
Please note that completing the Main Scenario Quests for Dawntrail is a requirement before starting these quests. Upon speaking with the Wandering Minstrel, you will share your tales of adventure and gain access to the Extreme trials.

The Extreme trials have a minimum item level of 690, which means you may need to acquire stronger equipment before participating. To obtain higher item level gear, you can either complete level 100 dungeons or exchange Tomestones of Aesthetics for Neo Kingdom gear at the traders located in Solution Nine.
The Party Finder is a useful tool for finding players to progress through challenging content, such as Extremes, which can take some time to master. By completing the Extreme trials, you will receive item level 710 gear, which will serve as an ideal stepping stone once the new Arcadion raids are released.
