Despite concerns from some players that Respawn has drastically weakened the character, Apex Legends pro Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen remains uncertain if the new Bloodhound nerf will result in their decline in the meta.
In recent years, Respawn has faced various difficulties in balancing the scanning characters in Apex Legends. Seer was initially too powerful, but adjustments were made that caused him to become less relevant in the meta discussion.
Despite being a founding member of the Legend roster, Bloodhound has undergone numerous changes. However, the most recent updates have significantly nerfed the beloved hunter in the Apex Games.
Despite some players expressing concern that the adjustments to Bloodhound’s ultimate and upgrades may have diminished the legend’s effectiveness, Falcons Esports player ImperialHal does not share the same perspective at this time.
After the Double Take Collection Event patch notes were released, the two-time ALGS MVP shared their thoughts on the current state of Bloodhound in the meta. They stated, “It’s difficult to say for sure, but Bloodhound may still be a strong choice.”They also drew a comparison to Seer, whose Ultimate was significantly nerfed while their Tactical ability was buffed.
“I have noticed a change in the way Bloodhound must be played compared to before. It seems necessary to rely heavily on their scans and tactics.”
Despite Bloodhound being Hal’s primary legend for a considerable amount of time, he has also been trying out Seer since the nerf. However, he is not particularly fond of the character, referring to him as “slow”after playing a few games with him.
Hal had previously expressed his belief that Seer would play a crucial role in the upcoming meta, often teaming up with Bangalore.
Furthermore, he has also entertained the possibility of implementing Catalyst in games. Therefore, we must simply be patient and observe where he ultimately decides to utilize it.
