In Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Kurama’s reincarnation inside Himawari was one of the most shocking moments. However, it remains to be seen if Himawari will become Kurama’s new jinchuriki.
In Chapter 9 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Kurama makes a return. In the initial part of the manga, the nine-tailed fox selflessly gave his life for Naruto’s Baryon Mode. This led us to believe that Kurama was gone forever.
Despite the surprise of Kurama’s sudden return, it is important to remember that it has been previously established that tailed beasts cannot die permanently. Therefore, the possibility of his return was always present. What is unexpected is that Himawari is now the one who possesses him.
After the reveal, Himawari has already displayed impressive power. However, it remains to be discussed whether she will harness this power as Kurama’s new jinchuriki or if it is something entirely different.
Is Himawari Kurama the new jinchuriki in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?
According to the nine-tailed fox, Himawari and Kurama are not two separate entities. They are a single body and soul instead.
During Chapter 10, Kurama reveals to Himawari that his life force was transferred into her after his own was extinguished. This is a unique occurrence in the franchise, and the nine-tailed fox admits that he is also uncertain about its full meaning.
Although it is evident that Himawari is not his vessel, unlike Naruto, Kushina, and any other jinchuriki, Kurama was not sealed within the girl. Instead, he was born naturally and exists as a single being. This is the reason why Kurama takes on his younger form after being revived.
Himawari’s character in Boruto Two Blue Vortex is known for its enigmatic and powerful nature. She stands out as the only person, aside from the Shinju, who is a tailed beast personified. This unique trait has elevated her immense potential to even greater heights.
Himawari’s Powers
While Himawari currently holds the human form of Kurama, she may not be able to fully harness her strength as she is young and has not yet received any training with him. Despite being one of the strongest characters in the series, her full potential remains untapped.
Despite this, she continues to display exceptional abilities once she assumes her initial tailed beast form. This transformation causes her to develop sharp fangs and nails, as well as markings resembling those of Naruto on her face. Additionally, her hair undergoes a change, billowing in the air like the nine tails of Kurama.
Himawari’s ability to transform into a different form is a strong indication that she is not a jinchuriki. Unlike other jinchuriki, who require extensive training to control their transformations, Himawari is able to transform instinctively due to her connection with Kurama. This further supports the fact that she and Kurama share a special bond.
Her tailed beast form grants her extraordinary healing powers, surpassing even Naruto’s. With them, she is able to heal herself and others from fatal injuries in an instant. This is demonstrated when she saves Inojin’s life after he is nearly killed by Jura.
Despite Jura’s surprise, Himawari possesses an impressive regeneration ability. She is able to continuously heal herself even when faced with relentless attacks from the Shinju. However, while this ability saves her life, it also drains a large amount of chakra from her. Therefore, her healing can be viewed as a double-edged sword, at least for now.
The youngest Uzumaki is also bestowed with immense physical strength in her tailed beast form. However, her most formidable technique is the tailed beast bomb, a jutsu of such intensity that it required Naruto to completely surrender to Kurama before he could fully control and utilize its power towards the end.
Despite being the incarnation of the Ten-Tails, Jura’s tailed beast bomb is matched by Himawari’s. However, due to her inexperience with her powers, she is unable to sustain it for a long period of time. With time, she is expected to become a formidable opponent.
