Jang Hyun-seung recently revealed his departure from BEAST through the paid communication app fromm. He explained, “I had already made the decision to leave the group and was simply waiting for the official announcement of my withdrawal. The company advised me not to attend the fan meeting, so I spent the time outside, enjoying myself.”He clarified, “I did not miss the event without permission.”
“He explained that the company had instructed him to miss the fanmeeting and instead record a video at home, in which he apologized to Japanese fans for not being able to attend the event due to unavoidable circumstances. He promptly recorded and sent the video to the company.”
In April, Jang Hyun-seung made an appearance on Daesung’s YouTube channel “Zip Daesung”where he discussed the other members of HIGHLIGHT.
Jang Hyun-seung revealed that he was not aware of CUBE’s plan to form the BEAST trio with him. He stated, “I woke up to an article about it, and I had no prior knowledge.”He added, “I believe CUBE found out through the same article. It may seem like it was already discussed, but it was all a misunderstanding.”
Jang Hyun-seung joined BEAST in 2009 and remained a member until 2016. Following the departure of Jang Hyun-seung, BEAST was reorganized as a group of five and changed their name to HIGHLIGHT. However, Yong Jun-hyung later left the group as a result of his involvement in the Jung Joon-young Group Chat scandal. As of now, HIGHLIGHT is currently active with four members.
Despite CUBE Entertainment’s previous announcement to bring back BEAST and reorganize the team as a trio with Jang Hyun-seung, recruiting two additional members, Jang Hyun-seung clarified that the company never informed them of this plan. Currently, Jang Hyun-seung is actively pursuing his career as a solo artist.
