Jujutsu Kaisen: Inumaki’s Tape Recorder Defeats Sukuna, Surpassing Many Cursed Tools

Despite its scheduled release date of July 8, 2024, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 (262.5) has already had spoilers leaked. The chapter reveals Yuta receiving an unexpected message from Inumaki through a tape recorder, causing confusion for some but also showcasing the tool’s overpowering abilities compared to special-grade ones.

Despite Sukuna’s relentless attacks, Yuta struggled to maintain control over Gojo Satoru’s body. He attempted to use the Hollow Technique: Purple, but the King of Curses intervened and prevented him from doing so. The ongoing battle between the two continued in the chapter.

To combat the antagonist, he hurled a tape recorder infused with Inumaki’s cursed technique. This immobilized the King of Curses, allowing Yuta to strike him. Surprisingly, despite the history of other effective cursed tools, this tape recorder proved to be more effective and crucial in its ability to overpower the King of Curses.

Based on the leaked spoilers for chapter 263 of Jujutsu Kaisen, it is revealed that Okkotsu Yuta began reciting the incantation for the Hollow Purple cursed technique as he contemplated the best way to defeat the King of Curses.

In anticipation of an attack, the King of Curses swiftly moved towards Yuta and prevented him from forming the necessary hand seal. Seizing the opportunity, Yuta used Lapse Blue to strike Sukuna and also hurled a tape recorder in his direction.

The tape recorder contained Inumaki’s voice saying “Don’t Move,”which was also his cursed technique. This caused Sukuna to freeze in place and allowed Yuta to finish his chant for Hollow Purple. As of the most recent chapter, this tape recorder has not been identified as a cursed tool, suggesting that it may simply be a regular recorder that Inumaki utilized to record his voice.

In comparison to this tape recorder, there were multiple cursed tools in the series that were not as beneficial. The first cursed tool introduced was Maki’s spear, which was her preferred weapon, but it ultimately met its demise during the confrontation with Hanami.

During the same battle, Playful Cloud was also introduced. Although this weapon initially had the upper hand against Hanami, it ultimately failed to defeat her. As a result, it proved ineffective against the King of Curses, showing that these cursed tools were of little use.

Despite being one of the strongest cursed tools in the series, Mahoraga’s Sword of Extermination was no match for the King of Curses. As a result, the cursed tools possessed by the Jujutsu High students, most of which were of special grade, were not effective enough against the powerful enemy.

However, the tape recorder featured in chapter 263 of Jujutsu Kaisen was truly exceptional. Despite being miles away from the battlefield, it gave the impression that Inumaki was fighting alongside Yuta against Sukuna. The abilities of this recorder far surpassed those of special-grade cursed tools, rendering them mere toys in comparison.
