Kai Cenat defends Sketch from hateful comments: “Why do people care?”

Kai Cenat has spoken out against those who have been leaving hateful comments towards Sketch following the leakage of the streamer’s old content.

On July 8, 2024, social media was flooded with images that seemed to show Twitch streamer Sketch engaging in adult content under a different name on the internet.

During a brief, ten-minute stream, he acknowledged the leaks and shared that it was a difficult period in his life, as he was struggling with various addictions.

The initial response was divided, as numerous Twitter/X users criticized the streamer for their previous controversial content. In his own stream, Kai Cenat strongly rebuked these individuals, expressing his disappointment in their focus on the subject at hand.

“Why are people so invested, man? They’re all adults. I get that it might be surprising to some, but to make hurtful comments about [Sketch]? That’s insane,”he stated.

“In my perspective, why does someone else’s actions provoke such anger that it leads to cyberbullying? The way people are speaking, you would think the person committed a serious crime.”

Cenat also added his perspective on the situation, stating, “As for me, I am not in a position to judge anyone for their actions or past experiences. That is not who I am, and it is not my place. The reason being? I am just a human being, man.”

“I am not bothered by it, honestly. I don’t really care, you know. I may not fully understand it, but I have no right to judge him for his actions.”

Despite Kai Cenat being the first, there were numerous other influencers who also showed their support for Sketch after he confirmed that the leaked content was indeed his. Among those who expressed their admiration for the streamer on their respective platforms were Hasan, Ludwig, Jake Paul, Stevewilldoit, and many others.
