YouTube sensation MrBeast has made headlines once again by contributing to the aerospace industry—this time by installing hardware on an actual SpaceX rocket. This remarkable feat took place during his latest video, titled $1 vs $1, 000, 000, 000 Futuristic Tech!, where he was granted exclusive access to a SpaceX production facility.

In this captivating episode, MrBeast toured the Starship manufacturing plant, engaging with SpaceX engineers to learn about their innovative assembly line approach. This revolutionary technique aims to streamline the production of next-generation spacecraft, facilitating rapid launches to destinations such as the Moon and Mars.

Inside the Starship Factory

During his visit, MrBeast received an in-depth look at the crucial heat-shield tiles that serve to protect the Starship during its atmospheric reentry phases. SpaceX engineers elaborated on the engineering marvel of these lightweight ceramic tiles, with each spacecraft incorporating approximately 18, 000 of them.

MrBeast’s Unique Contribution

One of the most thrilling moments of the tour occurred when MrBeast participated in a live demonstration involving a blowtorch and a heat-shield tile. Following this, he was presented with a rare opportunity—to install a real tile on the fin of a Starship, a task typically reserved for trained professionals.

The SpaceX team emphasized the significance of this tile, describing it as “flight hardware, ”designed for actual space missions. MrBeast was cautioned that there would be no opportunity for a do-over; an improper installation could result in the tile’s destruction.

After successfully securing the tile, MrBeast left his mark by signing it with his name. In a light-hearted moment, he joked that if the rocket were to encounter failure, footage from the day would simply be the product of artificial intelligence.

SpaceX’s Vision for the Future

This experience also underscored the immense scale of SpaceX’s ambitions. Representatives indicated that the Starship is engineered to be fully reusable and has the capacity to transport up to 100 passengers per launch. The company envisions launching thousands of these vehicles as part of a broader mission to establish humanity as a multi-planetary species.
