New Jeans Announces Criminal Charges for Fabricated Obscene Photo Distribution

On June 28th, the agency ADOR issued an official statement stating that they have gathered substantial evidence from both domestic and international platforms through fan reports and their real-time monitoring system. They have also filed complaints with an investigative agency.

Following our persistent legal actions, fines have been officially imposed on numerous defendants in the ongoing lawsuits. Legal proceedings are still underway for the remaining defendants. In particular, authorities are conducting investigations on individuals who have engaged in unacceptable acts such as sharing and selling fake and explicit photos of the artist. As a result, some of these cases have already resulted in criminal convictions in the initial trial.

The ADOR stated, “There will be absolutely no leniency or settlement offered in the legal proceedings concerning the rights of the artist. As there are minor members involved, we will continue to closely monitor and gather evidence to ensure that those responsible for posting harmful content are held accountable to the maximum extent permitted by law, regardless of the length of time it may take.”

In the meantime, NewJeans concluded their highly anticipated “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome”fan meeting at Tokyo Dome, Japan on June 26th and 27th. The event attracted a total of 91,000 attendees over the course of two days, showcasing the group’s significant fan base.
