One Piece editor claims Egghead has a bigger surprise than Vegapunk’s message

On July 4, 2024, in an interview on a One Piece YouTube channel, the editor of the series disclosed that Vegapunk’s message may serve as a prelude to a larger event that is soon to unfold in the Egghead arc.

The Egghead Arc marks the beginning of the final saga in the series. It follows the Straw Hat Pirates as they venture onto Egghead Island to aid Dr. Vegapunk in his escape from the pursuing World Government. However, the arrival of CP0 only adds to the complications of Vegapunk’s escape. The situation becomes even more tense with the appearance of the Five Elders, who are determined to prevent anyone from leaving the island alive.

This article includes the author’s opinion and may include spoilers from the One Piece manga series.

One Piece: A Bigger Reveal Awaits Fans After Vegapunk’s Message

The focus of the YouTube video was the recently released Vivre Card for the series. The card became available on July 4, 2024, and the YouTuber promptly provided a review of it.

The guest who made this video stand out was Kaito Anayama, an editor of the popular One Piece manga series. Anayama gained attention for his claim to know the secret at the end of the Grand Line, a knowledge that is only shared by the series’ author, Eiichiro Oda.

The video primarily centered around Anayama and the YouTuber’s discussion of the Vivre Card. Towards the end, they briefly mentioned Eiichiro Oda’s well-being and the Egghead arc.

Upon reaching the subject of Vegapunk’s message, the editor noted that fans were already buzzing with anticipation about the potential world flooding. However, there is an even greater event on the horizon for the fandom. Despite this, the editor did not disclose any details about this major event in the video.

What is the message of Vegapunk in One Piece?

Following the death of Vegapunk by Admiral Kizaru, a live broadcast began to appear all over the Grand Line, centered on Vegapunk (Stella) and its two satellites: Shaka and Pythagoras. The trio provided a 10-minute window for viewers to prepare their screens, as what they were about to unveil was the supposed “truth of the world.”

Despite things spiraling out of control, Saint Saturn refrained from taking any chances and called upon the Five Elders to gather at Egghead Island and halt Vegapunk before it became too late. After ten minutes, Vegapunk began his address.

He proceeded to disclose the key point of his message, which was that the Grand Line was submerging. To substantiate his claim, he made a prediction of an earthquake that ultimately came true, proving his point to the world.

Despite finally being believed by the world, he continued to reveal his truths and ask for forgiveness for his wrongdoings, until the Gorosei intervened and impaled the Iron Giant, halting the stream. However, it appears that the stream has yet to be completely stopped.

Final thoughts

The anticipation for the Egghead arc has reached its peak following the disclosure of the clash between JoyBoy and the Iron Giant against the Gorosei. If there is anything more monumental than the revelation of Vegapunk’s message, it would surely be the most significant moment in the series thus far.

The nature of this event is difficult to determine. It could potentially reveal the secrets of Imu, leader of the World Government, or provide clues about the mysterious One Piece. However, these are merely assumptions and it is best to wait for official confirmation.
