A popular fan theory about the Gorosei’s connection to Devil Fruit has been reignited by a significant event in One Piece Chapter 1119.
The latest chapter of the Egghead Arc, Chapter 1119, from One Piece was exceptional. It unveiled the Gorosei’s decision to split their troops and the aftermath of their battle with the Iron Giant, whose true identity is Emeth.
Once Emeth is blown into the sea, the group shifts their attention to taking down the Elbaf ship. In the midst of this, Mars and Ju Peter engage in a short battle with Luffy in his Gear 5 form, alongside Bonney, Sanji, and Franky.
Warcury has played a key role in reviving a long-standing and credible theory concerning the Gorosei. In the final moments of the chapter, Warcury bravely dives into the ocean in an attempt to destroy the ship. Yet, his efforts are thwarted when Emeth unexpectedly punches him in the face.

Ever since the Gorosei’s monster forms were revealed, it has been widely believed that they are all users of Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits. Without this explanation, their monstrous transformations would be inexplicable. This was the prevailing thought at the time.
Despite previous evidence suggesting otherwise, there have been recent indications that the Gorosei may not possess Devil Fruit abilities. Their rare and exceptionally strong transformations, as well as their mysterious summoning ritual, further support this notion.
Warcury’s fearless leap into the sea only adds more credibility to this One Piece theory. The ocean is known to be the most perilous for all those who possess Devil Fruit powers, as the fruit renders them unable to swim and can cause fatal weakness with the slightest touch.
Warcury’s lack of fear towards the sea suggests that he does not share the same weakness as other Devil Fruit users. This could mean that he and his fellow Gorosei are not actually users of Devil Fruits, and instead possess powers derived from another source.
Despite this, it is only a speculation at this juncture. There may be an alternative reason for Warcury’s actions. Nevertheless, until we acquire further knowledge about their powers, this One Piece fan theory remains the most reasonable explanation.
