One Piece’s Uranus: The Potential of an Ancient Weapon

The presence of Ancient Weapons in One Piece has sparked controversy due to several reasons. The limited information available about them and their potential as a weapon of mass destruction are among the main factors contributing to this debate.

Uranus, one of these weapons, remains shrouded in mystery as its current location is unknown to mankind. However, speculation suggests that it may be in the possession of Imu and the World Government, who allegedly utilized it to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom.

While many fans see Uranus as a source of immense power, there may be more to it than just destruction. This Ancient Weapon could actually be a spaceship that an alien species brought to Earth in order to alter the planet’s atmosphere. After the alien species became extinct, the World Government took advantage of the situation and claimed the Ancient Weapon for themselves.

The Ancient Weapons, which were entrusted by JoyBoy from the Ancient Kingdom to future generations, are powerful weapons of mass destruction. In the series, there are three known Ancient Weapons: Uranus, Pluton, and Poseidon.

The Pluton, a formidable warship, possesses the capability to annihilate an entire island with a single blast and is currently located somewhere beneath the Wano Kingdom. As for Poseidon’s potential as a weapon, it remains uncertain since it takes the form of Princess Shirahoshi from the Ryugu Kingdom.

The final of the three Ancient Weapons is Uranus. While there is little information known about this weapon, it is widely speculated that the World Government holds possession of it.

It is possible that this weapon was the means by which Imu destroyed the Lulusia Kingdom in the Grand Line, but it is unknown if it possesses sentience like Shirahoshi or is a non-living entity such as Pluton. However, the primary concern is determining if destruction is its intended function.

After the events of the Lulusia Kingdom incident, where massive lasers were observed shooting from the sky, there is speculation that the Ancient Weapon Uranus may in fact be a spaceship. If this is the case, then it begs the question: is it an extraterrestrial weapon? The answer may potentially be found in the ancient race of One Piece known as the Lunarians.

The Lunarians, an extinct race in the series, perished in the past. The sole remaining member of this race is King, a member of the Beast Pirates. While it has not been explicitly stated, the origin of this race may have been the moon, suggested by their name (Lunarians translates to ‘moon-like’ in Latin).

Considering their origins and the speculation surrounding Uranus as a potential extraterrestrial weapon, it is possible that the Lunarians arrived on Earth alongside this planet. This could shed light on the ultimate intention behind this weapon – Uranus may serve as a airborne craft designed for the transportation of humans on a large scale.

This further enhances the potency of this weapon, possibly influenced by Christopher Nolan’s film Man of Steel. In the climax of the movie, the antagonistic Kryptonians invade Earth with a sky-bound vessel resembling Uranus, and utilize it to alter the Earth’s core and replicate their home planet, Krypton.

By doing so, we would essentially be replicating the environmental conditions of Kypton on this planet, ultimately aiding the Kryptonians in flourishing. It is possible that Uranus, like the Kryptonian spacecraft, may have served a similar function of altering Earth to resemble the Moon.

Sadly, the Lunarians were unable to achieve their goal and faced the possibility of extinction during their fight. The weapon eventually fell into the possession of JoyBoy, who later passed it down to future generations until it was confiscated by the World Government.
