The latest installment of Oshi no Ko, chapter 153 titled “Fiction”, began with Aqua Hoshino accusing Hikaru Kamiki of being the true father of Taiki Himekawa, Ruby, and himself. She also accused him of being responsible for the murder of B-Komachi idol Ai.

Despite Hikaru’s thorough research on Aqua for the movie, he was still impressed by him. The script proved to be accurate, and the cast’s strong acting skills made the film enjoyable. However, Hikaru maintained that the movie was purely fictional.

Despite the fact that the movie contained fabricated and exaggerated scenes, as well as concealing everything inconvenient, the main issue for Hikaru was the way his relationship with Ai was portrayed in the film.

Despite the movie depicting their relationship as a consensual and age-appropriate one, the reality was that it was not mutual at all.

According to Hikaru Kamiki, Ai Hoshino never had feelings for him. The true Ai was not as loving, and Hikaru was starved for love.

Despite not knowing how to take care of herself, Ai did not reject him and eventually ended their relationship. In a fit of anger, he killed her, but the truth of the situation was more realistic than dramatic.

Immediately after, Hikaru praised Aqua for successfully completing his task of socially destroying him. He also conveyed his willingness to accept any consequences, as per Ai’s desires.

Just at that moment, Aqua Hoshino intervened and clarified the misunderstanding for Hikaru regarding the meaning of “15 Year Lie.”While everyone assumed that the phrase referred to Ai’s deception to the public, it actually seemed to be directed at Hikaru.

Oshi no Ko chapter 153 then transitioned to Hikaru’s flashback of when he visited Seijuro Uehara and Airi Himekawa. During this time, Kindaichi approached him and urged him to take on the weight of Seijuro and Airi’s passing. This caused Hikaru to panic, as he felt responsible for their deaths.

During the chapter, Hikaru explained how he was constantly objectified for his appearance, causing him to believe that the words “I love you”held no true meaning. As a result, he believed that the only way to truly experience love was by sacrificing his physical self for others.

Despite Hikaru’s belief that Ai was just like him and could understand him, this was not the case. Surprisingly, it was Ai Hoshino who had asked Hikaru to stop seeing her, causing his world to shatter from within.
