Oshi no Ko Season 2 Reveals New PV Previewing the Ending Theme Song
On Sunday, June 30, 2024, Oshi no Ko anime’s official website released a new promotional video for the upcoming season 2. The video featured a preview of the anime’s ending theme song, “Burning”by hitsujibungaku.
The promotional video not only showcased the ending theme song, but also revealed the artists behind the opening theme song “Fatal.”This announcement came after the initial news that a musical unit named GEMN would be responsible for performing the song, but the identities of its members were kept a secret until the release of the new PV.
Based on the latest Oshi no Ko season 2 PV, GEMN, a musical duo, comprises of Kento Nakajima, a former member of Sexy Zone and timeless, and Tatsuya Kitani, who is well-known for his performances of opening theme songs for Go, Go, Loser Ranger!, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
The promotional video appeared to center on the insecurities held by both the cast and staff of the Tokyo Blade Stage Play.
Despite being rivals since childhood, Kana Arima would often defeat Akane Kurokawa in auditions. Akane had always known that Kana had become an actress who would willingly take a backseat to support others. However, during the practice for their stage play, Akane noticed that Kana was once again able to compete with her for the spotlight.
The promotional video also featured Melt Narushima seemingly having a conversation with Kana Arima, in which he apologized for his previous subpar acting. This could potentially suggest that the anime is foreshadowing his determination to improve his acting skills.
The PV also featured Abiko Samejima, the manga creator of Tokyo Blade, meeting the cast members of the stage play. Despite her shyness, she quickly sought refuge behind her friend and former mentor, Yoriko Kichijouji. This revealed her difficulty in socializing with unfamiliar individuals in the anime.
The promotional video then continued to feature Goa, the screenwriter for the Stage Play. His efforts are soon to be challenged by Abiko Samejima, the original creator of Tokyo Blade, causing him to question the value of his hard work. The anime also unveiled that Yoriko Kichijouji harbored envy towards Abiko Samejima, who was recognized as a gifted manga creator.
Finally, in the Oshi no Ko season 2 promotional video, Ruby Hoshino requests her adoptive mother Miyako Saitou to find her more work, in order to have something to complain about to her peers. It appears that Ruby has been experiencing a decrease in her workload as an idol, causing her to feel unenthusiastic in front of her peers.
Furthermore, the promotional video also provided fans with glimpses of Aqua Hoshino, Kana Arima, Taiki Himekawa, Mem-Cho, and Raida Sumiaki.
