The new Palworld island has multiple zones to explore
The recently added island in the Palworld Sakurajima Update can be found on the northwestern part of the world.
The island consists of several distinct zones: the mushroom tree zone, the open field zone, and the Sakura tree zone. Additionally, there are two areas of dry land on either side that are perfect for placing Oil Rigs.
Sakurajima Island: Required Level
We strongly advise players to be at least level 45 before venturing into this area. The enemies found here are all high-level and possess long-range attacks, which can be extremely dangerous for lower-level players.
It is important to bring along effective healing items and a variety of weapons with ammunition. We highly recommend having a swift flying mount, as the voyage to this destination can be quite lengthy. Flying will also give you the advantage of choosing your desired starting location on the island for exploration.
Crude Oil in Palworld
The recent update in Palworld introduced Crude Oil as a valuable resource. It can be obtained by mining with the appropriate tools or by collecting it from Supply Drops and caches as a reward.
Where to find the new Pals in Palworld
Traveling to Sakurajima Island is the most effective method for discovering the latest Pals in Palworld. The various biomes found on this island provide a perfect environment for many of the new species to flourish, and they can be found all over the island. However, we have also observed new Pals appearing in similar locations on other maps.
Tower Boss Hard Mode in Palworld
The new Boss Tower challenges players with Hard Mode
Upon successfully defeating the Tower Bosses in Palworld, players are given the option to challenge the leader once again, this time in Hard Mode.
Hard Mode boss fights are significantly more difficult than standard battles, with enemies set at a much higher level. Players must have a minimum of Level 50 and should equip themselves with armor and weapons between levels 50-55 before entering. Additionally, it is crucial to have a strong team of high-level Pals on hand.
The tactics for boss battles do not differ significantly from regular challenges, however the Boss Pal has the ability to call upon other Pals of the same species to aid in the fight and divert the player’s attention. It is not possible to capture these summoned Pals.
Getting the Boss Hat Cosmetics
Players earn the Tower Boss Hats by successfully defeating the Tower Bosses on Hard Mode. Each hat resembles the hair of the defeated boss and can be worn by the player to mimic their appearance. However, it may feel a bit unsettling to take the boss’s hair as a trophy.
Lockpicking in Palworld
The recent Sakurajima Update has implemented a new feature that allows players to unlock chests found throughout the game. By utilizing Ancient Technology Points, players can choose from three levels of lock picking. Once the first level is unlocked, players can craft and use picks to open locked chests in the absence of a key.
New Weapons and Armor in the Palworld Sakurajima Update
The Palworld Sakurajima update has made it easier to avoid and handle damage with the addition of level 50-55 weapons and armor. By unlocking the new Technology Levels introduced in the update, players can now acquire three new Armor types and seven new weapons.
The Plasteel armor is renowned as one of the top options in the game, however its production will come at a high cost. Grinding a considerable amount of Crude Oil is necessary in order to create it.
