If you aim to reset only specific settings within Chrome (while retaining your bookmarks and passwords), follow these steps on Windows 10 or 11:
- Launch Google Chrome.
- Click on the Customize and control Google Chrome (three vertical dots) at the top-right corner.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Navigate to Reset settings.
- Click on “Restore settings to their original defaults”.
- Before proceeding, confirm the reset options on the dialog box that appears.
- Finally, press the Reset settings button to apply changes.
Upon completion, Chrome will revert to default settings, disable extensions, and clear temporary files while preserving bookmarks and stored passwords.
