Shroud on Cutting Off Dr Disrespect After Twitch Ban

According to Twitch streamer shroud, he has not communicated with Dr Disrespect in over four years. He made the decision to cut ties with him immediately after his Twitch ban in 2020, as he believed it was the logical choice.

The reason behind Dr Disrespect’s ban was an enigma to those outside of Twitch’s moderation team at the time.

Upon confirmation, it has been revealed that the ban was put in place due to the Doc confessing to sending “inappropriate” messages to a minor in 2017. Twitch had received a complaint about this incident in 2020 and promptly issued a permanent ban.

Despite not being fully aware of the reason for his ban at the time, shroud’s uncertainty prompted him to tread cautiously and cease all communication with Dr Disrespect.

“Shroud mentioned on his June 27 stream that he has not spoken to him since his ban in 2020.”

“As a logical person, when the second Doc was banned on Twitch, my logic immediately kicked in and I realized that there must have been a reason for the ban. It was clear to me that it wasn’t just a random occurrence.”

Despite not speaking to him, messaging him, or responding to anything on Twitter, I made sure to distance myself and not associate with him at all. It’s important to use logic and reasoning before jumping to conclusions about someone being banned. People don’t just receive bans without reason.

Despite being banned in 2020, shroud and Dr Disrespect maintained a close collaborative relationship. Their streams often featured them playing games like PUBG and Apex Legends together, as well as reacting to each other’s content. Additionally, they regularly attended industry events and had the opportunity to meet in person on multiple occasions.

Despite Dr Disrespect’s statement about returning to content creation after a family vacation, shroud remains skeptical that this will actually happen.

Instead, he predicts that the Doc will simply give up on his content and persona and pursue other endeavors.

Despite continuing to collaborate with Doc after his ban, other streamers such as NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman have chosen to distance themselves from him, citing their inability to support him any longer.

It is still uncertain what will occur with his YouTube channel. The option for paid subscriptions has been halted, and Fwiz, the previous Gaming boss of YouTube, expresses a wish for the platform to permanently ban him instead.
